The clerk was working during opening hours for the whole length of the exhibition. He had been found in a two-stage application process via advertisement at the work agency for the unemployed. The office worker had to take care of the visitors and inform about the setting, conduct live interviews and transcribe them. He could use the manual which he had been given. The interviews were bookable or could be given spontaneously.
The interview is very personal. It focuses on individual value systems concerning labour and asks about the potential of redesign in a crisis. In the course of the exhibition about 20 interviews had been given.
All interviews were recorded and transcribed in an anonymous way continuously. The transcripts were printed and put on display in folders in the waiting zone. Here visitors could inform themselves about the questionnaire and read already conducted interviews. The two folders in the entrance area were the only filing systems with content, as all others as well as all furniture were empty.
